Q. What are the Visiting Hours?
General visiting hours are 2-8 p.m. Please check with the
specialty care units such as rehab, maternal child and mental
health services for their visiting hours.
There are visiting policies for patients on compassionate
grounds. Please check with the nursing stations for details.
Q Are there specific guidelines for visitors?
- The number of visitors is limited to two at one time
for inpatients
- One support person may accompany patients in emergency
or patients having outpatient treatments or tests
- Children 12 years of age and under must be supervised
at all times by an adult
- Please do not visit if you have a cold, are ill, or have
been in recent contact with a person with an infectious
disease
- Visiting may be restricted at any time at the discretion
of the nursing staff or at the patient’s request

Q. Where do I park my car and how much does it cost?
Please choose a hospital for parking information:
Persons parked in the designated fire lanes or handicapped
parking spots may be ticketed. Patients being admitted to
hospital are asked not to bring their vehicles to hospital,
if possible.
Q. Are there designated smoking areas at Grey Bruce
Health Services?
Municipal by-laws prohibit smoking inside all hospital buildings.
As outlined in the municipal by-laws smoking outside our hospitals
must be at least 9 metres from any entrance. Please support
Grey Bruce Health Services in reducing the amount of second
hand smoke exposure for patients and staff by complying with
the by-law.
Q. Are latex products permitted at this hospital?
Many people have a sensitivity or allergy to latex so latex
products or balloons are not permitted in the hospital. If
you have a latex allergy, please tell us when you are admitted.
Foil or mylar balloons are acceptable..
