Approximately 1500 staff and over 100 physicians work at Grey Bruce Health Services.

• The majority of our staff are covered by collective agreements with the Ontario Nurses Association (ONA) and the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU).
• ONA represents all registered nurses – in excess of 400 staff.
• OPSEU represents approximately 1000 staff in three separate bargaining units– clerical and office support; patient service and support including Registered Practical Nurses; and paramedical staff consisting of therapists, technologists, technicians and other healthcare professionals.
  

Approximately 100 non-union staff consist of our management group and administrative support.

While our turnover rates are low compared to industry standards, due in part to the long service among all our committed employee groups, we have been successful in recruiting new staff to Grey Bruce Health Services due primarily to the range of options that exist to build a career in health care in a dynamic and challenging work environment while living in an environment that provides outstanding opportunities for a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
