Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD)

Bone Mineral Densitometry is a radiology examination that uses very low dose x-rays to measure the amount of bone mineral. This examination will identify those patients who have or potentially will have low bone mineral density (osteoporosis). Treatment of this condition will help prevent fractures.
