Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
Grey Bruce Health Services inpatient rehabilitation unit provides acute rehabilitation to patients and their families who are dealing with stroke, spinal cord injury, neurological disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis, and complex orthopedic cases.
The scope of the unit is regional, serving the population of Grey and Bruce counties as well as parts of Simcoe and Wellington counties.
Rehabilitation is a timely, goal oriented process which enables a person to reach his or her maximum physical, cognitive, emotional and/or social function. It includes prevention of impairment, treatment of medical conditions and complications, restoration of maximal function and assistance for clients and their families with community reintegration.
