Are you U.S. Board certified? Read on!
Although there is no direct reciprocity between American and Ontario physician licenses, recent changes have been made to the process which may enable American board certified physicians to gain licensure in Ontario.
The first requirement for obtaining an Ontario License is to have a sponsor or a Job offer. We encourage any physician who is interested in employment with us to contact the The Department of Medical Affairs to discuss possible opportunities in many subspecialties.
We have several Physicians working at GBHS who were American Board certified and decided to relocate. Our staff will be happy to provide you with details regarding available positions, facilitate the interview process as well as assist you in the process of applying for an Ontario license. We have experienced immigration attorneys who collaborate with us in cases requiring work visas or immigration process if necessary.
