Pathologist - Full Time

Position Precis:

The Owen Sound Site of Grey Bruce Health Services is the regional referral centre for Grey and Bruce Counties in Ontario. We are currently looking for a full-time Pathologist. The ideal candidate would have certification in General Pathology or in Anatomical Pathology with additional hematopathology training. This is an interesting broad spectrum (general surgery, head and neck, gynecology, thoracic surgery, and urology) practice opportunity that includes medico-legal autopsies. The laboratory is well-equipped and includes a broad panel of automated immunohistochemistry. We have an in depth Quality Assurance program in which the department members participate The area is known for its scenic beauty overlooking Georgian Bay, yet is only 2 hours from Pearson International Airport. Qualifications:

About the Pathology Department:

This is a true general pathology practice with a broad range of surgical pathology, hematopathology, cytopathology, as well as medico legal and hospital autopsies. This department is well supported by the hospital with strong technical and equipment resources. The pathologists provide consultative services to Grey Bruce Health Services and the South Bruce Grey Health Centre (10 hospitals in total).
