Wiarton - Family Practice/ ER Opportunity

Position Precis:

Grey Bruce Health Services (GBHS), Wiarton Hospital Site, provides essential services to its rural population in a catchment area of approximately 12,000 residents. The Level 2 referral centre, with state-of-the-art diagnostics including CT and MRI, is located in 25 minutes away in Owen Sound. The Wiarton Hospital Site is the newest in the Corporation of GBHS – built in 1994. Physicians have their practices located in a clinic adjacent to the Hospital. The Sauble Family Health Team is located in the newer Sauble Medical Clinic Building at 672 Main Street, Sauble Beach. The Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses and Medical Staff offer primary health care and development that brings together different providers to coordinate the highest possible quality of care. The clinic is situated within minutes of the Wiarton and Owen Sound Hospitals. Seize the opportunity to join a turnkey practice while keeping in mind that Sauble Beach, a Blue Flag designated beach, provides seven invigorating miles of warm water swimming and sunning where breath taking sunsets that you can call your own. Qualifications:

CCFP or eligibility to practice Medicine in Ontario.

About the Family Practice Department:

Each of GBHS six hospitals has a family practice department. There are independent, group and clinic models of practice across the corporation. In the rural hospitals family physicians provide 24/7 emergency coverage at all hospitals and GP anesthesia in three hospitals. The Owen Sound department includes a small number of family physicians who continue with emergency and obstetrics practices in addition to their office practices and inpatient care.
