Auxiliary and Volunteer Opportunities

Help Someone While You Help Yourself:

Volunteering is a great way to help yourself while you help others. At Grey Bruce Health Services volunteers are an integral and important part of our team.

They work in all seven of our hospitals in a variety of patient care and service areas assisting us in reaching our goal of providing quality care close to home. They also work very hard through our Auxiliaries and Foundations fundraising to assist with the purchase of capital equipment for our hospitals.

Volunteering at Grey Bruce Health Services gives you the chance to:

How do you qualify?

Requirements to be a Volunteer or Auxiliary member at Grey Bruce Health Services are:

• Must be 14 years of age or older
• Have some free time to give as a volunteer ( usually 2 to 4 hours per week)
• Be reliable
• Be willing to attend a mandatory orientation and have a two part TB skin test
• Care about others
• If joining the Auxiliary you must pay a small annual membership fee.

What some of our Volunteers are doing:

Our volunteers give their time in over 40 different areas. They assist on nursing units, work in various clinics, operate gift shops, provide directions and escorts to patients and visitors, and assist staff in many different departments. Our wide range of opportunities means we can find a volunteer job to suit most individuals.

If you are interested in volunteering or joining one of our Auxiliaries we would like to meet with you to discuss your interests and availability.
