Reporting to the Vice President of Performance and CFO, the Director provides leadership and direction for all aspects of financial planning, reporting and management of the Finance and Supply Chain Departments. The Director facilitates processes for the development and analysis of operational and capital budgets, the development of related policies and practices and ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of financial and statistical data to support operations and decision making. The Director works in close partnership with internal and external stakeholders and is an effective problem solver and team leader. Working closely with the CFO, you will set team priorities and provide day to day leadership to the Finance and Supply Chain functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-Secondary education in a related field supported by a professional accounting designation (CPA)
  • Proven leadership of effective financial and supply chain teams, preferably in the hospital industry
  • Knowledge of hospital and/or health care accounting, MIS, etc. is an asset
  • Knowledge of Broader Public Sector Procurement requirements
  • Experience working with group purchasing and shared service organizations
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and accountability with financial operations, systems and reporting, preferably in the health care sector of public sector
  • Proven experience in the development of financial policy, procedures and guidelines
  • Experience in change management and ability to lead through transitions
  • Strong business acumen
  • Experience working with foundations, auxiliaries and board of directors is an asset
  • Ability to develop and lead an effective team
  • Ability to negotiate, collaborate and reach positive outcomes
  • Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and manage time and resources effectively

  • Available for regular assignment of Hospital Administrator on-call responsibilities (assigned on a rotating basis to cover evenings and weekends)
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records
