Birth Preparation
If you plan to have your baby at Brightshores Health System (Brightshores), you will need to visit the clinic during your pregnancy to discuss your prenatal care, birth preparations and any concerns or questions you may have. Information about Labor and Birth and breastfeeding are available to families during the birth preparation visit.
Women who are attending the Obstetrical Clinic at the hospital for their prenatal care will have the opportunity to see the Birth Preparation Nurse/Lactation Consultant at one of their appointments. When a woman is seeing a midwife or a Family Physician that will be delivering their baby, they can book a Birth Preparation appointment through the hospital. Prenatal Classes
We recommend prenatal classes for all mothers. The classes help you prepare for the birth of your baby. You will also learn how to care for yourself and your baby after birth.
Brightshores Health System offers in person Prenatal Classes the first Tuesday of the month from 5:30-9pm. Register at (519)372-3928
