Thank you for your interest in employment with Grey Bruce Health Services (GBHS). The following information provides an overview of our recruitment process to help you find employment with GBHS.
Job Posting – Current opportunities at GBHS are posted on this website. Applications should be submitted by 4 p.m. on the day the job posting closes. Applications received after the closing date may still be considered. All applicants must submit a resume and completed application form for consideration. Please notify Human Resources of any accommodation needs you may have during the recruitment and selection process.
Application Screening & Selection – Applications are screened against the criteria outlined in the job posting. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
Employment Reference Checks – Candidates selected to move forward in the recruitment process will be required to sign a Reference Authorization Form and provide Human Resources with 2-3 professional references. Please note that we do not accept personal references (this includes co-workers).
Criminal Background Check – Once two successful references are completed, a tentative offer will be given and a background check will be requested. If you have a current background check (completed within the last 6 months) we will accept a copy of the original document. Otherwise, you will be asked to obtain a new background check prior to commencing employment, or partner with Human Resources to obtain an online background check via Sterling Talent Solutions (BackCheck). The background check must show a ‘Clear’ or ‘Negative’ result for an individual to be employed with Grey Bruce Health Services.
Offer Letter – Once the references and background checks are complete, the successful candidate will receive a written offer letter from the Human Resources department.
General Applications – If there are no current vacancies that you wish to apply to, please submit a resume and completed application form to the Human Resources department specifying your area of interest. All general resume submissions will be kept on file for 6 months.
