Grey Bruce Health Services is currently accepting applications to fill four vacancies on its volunteer Board of Directors.

Board members are responsible for the overall governance, decision-making, and financial and quality oversight for GBHS and its six hospitals. To ensure GBHS continues to thrive in the ever-changing and demanding health care environment, applicants should possess strong leadership skills, and previous board experience is an asset.

The vacancies will be filled by election for a term of up to three years, and are eligible for re-election for two additional terms. Board members spend on average 10-15 hours per month preparing for and attending meetings.

Applicants must live within any of the catchment areas served by the GBHS hospitals, which are located in Lion’s Head, Markdale, Meaford, Owen Sound, Southampton and Wiarton.

The application deadline is October 29, 2018. Application forms can be accessed online and submitted to sacunningham@gbhs.on.ca. For questions contact: 519-376-2121, ext. 2801.
