Local hospitals and Public Health are teaming up to offer public flu vaccine clinics the week of November 4 – 7.

All 11 sites of the three hospital corporations in Grey Bruce will offer one-day flu vaccine clinics. Every year the hospitals offer vaccine to staff, and this is the first time that Public Health and Grey Bruce Health Services, South Bruce Grey Health Centre, and Hanover and District Hospital have worked together to offer clinics to the public. Clinics will run from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. (See attachment for locations, dates and times). Children aged six months and up can receive the vaccine at the hospital clinics.

The flu can cause serious illness in people with weakened immune systems, including young children and elderly individuals. The vaccine, combined with good hand hygiene, remains the best way to protect you and your family from the flu.

Our slogan this year:

The Flu shot. For…My Patients; My Family; My Community; Me.

The joint flu campaign encourages ‘CommUnity’ support for reducing the spread of influenza.

Parking will be free during the flu clinics.
