Change Management Specialist

Full-Time
Owen Sound

The Change Management Specialist plays a key role in the successful implementation of projects and initiatives that support information technology and management throughout the organization.  Key responsibilities include the development of communication plans and the timely distribution of information to keep key stakeholders informed; update on status of milestones and identification of processes and contacts for follow up.  This position will develop change management strategies and structure to support end users, project staff and stakeholders.  Measures and metrics will be implemented to analyze adoption, utilization and proficiency of change, and make recommendations to support improvements.  Using their expertise in Change Management, this role will support project managers and staff to identify strategies for change management into their project plans.

Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:

Required:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field of study that may include but is not limited to: information technology, organizational development, business administration

  • Change management certification or designation

  • Experience with, and knowledge of, change management principles, methodologies and tools that foster the cultural aspects of change management

  • Communications methodologies and tools

  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective communications for a variety of audiences using different communication methods

  • Project management experience

  • Experience leading change involving large projects and multiple stakeholders

  • Knowledge of the employee engagement principles and strategies

  • Proven experience as a customer-service leader

  • Ability to develop effective relationships both internally and externally

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and demands in a rapidly changing environment

  • Proven experience creating performance metrics and outcome measures to evaluate success

  • Excellent planning, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Adult learning skills and solid understanding of training principles

  • Respect and appreciation for the diverse views, values and culture of our Hospital

  • Proven ability to act in an ethical and transparent manner, in compliance with the corporate code of conduct and GBHS values

  • Thorough knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including knowledge of management responsibilities for health and safety compliance under the legislation

  • Thorough understanding of the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act

  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance

  • Knowledge of and adherence to GBHS ‘CARE’ Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence)

  • Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at GBHS through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudes
